Abstract There is currently a lively debate about whether there are practical reasons for belief, epistemic or both. I will argue that the intuitions on all sides can be fully accounted by applying an independently motivated contextualist semantics normative terms. Specifically, terms must relativized to goal. One possible goal epistemic, such as believing truly and not falsely, while another practical, satisfying desires, maximizing value. we have given Disagreement disappears when make context explicit.
